Shape What You Feel

INERA is an emotional exploration toolkit designed to help users express

and understand their inner states through physical interaction. By building

a “mind garden,” users externalize abstract feelings into visible forms.

In modern society, people are increasingly disconnected

from their emotions despite being constantly connected

to others. Emotional expression is often reduced to

simplified language, emojis, or suppressed entirely,

making it difficult to fully understand and process internal states.

Fore children, this challenge is even greater, as they may not

yet vocabulary to describe complex feelings.

Emotions are complex, but the tools to express them are too simple.

Many existing emotional tools help users identify or record feelings, but they often depend on

words, categories, or fixed emotional labels. This can be limiting for children, who may

experience complex feeligns before they can fully explain them verbally.

INERA visualizes emotions as a garden something that can be arranged, changed, and

cared for. Emotions are not fixed. They grow, shift, overlap, and sometimes fade.
